We have nice heavy towels supplied and extra sheets and beach towels. The condos have floor to ceiling and wall to wall sliders going out to beach or balcony with awesome views of the Atlantic Ocean. Condos are completely tiled so you don't have to worry about spills from the little ones. Pool is locked and gated for their protection as is the gate to the beach. (which is steps away)There is an upscale restaurant attached, (used to be Shuckers for you old timers) There is a beach side Tiki Bar to grab a burger and beer and enjoy the ocean breezes. This area is called the Treasure Coast where pirate ships of long ago sank off our shores. You can walk our quiet beaches searching for treasure. Lots of doubloons have been found! Hutchinson Island is one of the islands that the huge sea turtles come to lay their eggs. Did you know the female babies that survive return to Hutchinson Island when they mature to lay THEIR eggs? Just over the Stuart Causeway is quaint village of Stuart. The sailfish capital of the world! Browse the many boutiques, galleries and stop and have lunch at the many fine street cafes. Lots of street festivals,art shows,music in downtown Stuart. Just over the Jensen Beach Causeway is the village of Jensen Beach. It used to be all pineapple plantations. Every year we have a Pineapple Festival and big name stars come to perform, lots of food,carnival and street vendors for this big event in November. Like to play golf? We have so many top golf courses in this area you could't play them all. Big PGA course with important tournaments just 20 minutes away. Does Major League baseball interest you? NY Mets training camp is 20 minutes away. Lots of other teams close. Take the kids to Disney just a couple of hours west and come back to the cool breezes off the Atlantic Ocean. Want to shop with celebrities? Palm Beach's Worth Avenue (Florida's Rodeo Drive)is just 45 minutes south. Armani,Gucci,Louis Vitton,Escada,Tiffany to name just a few of the famous stores. Take the kids to Wild Kingdom in West Palm Beach and drive through the zoo with the animals running loose. A great day and it is only 45 minutes away. If you are lucky enough to be here when a space shuttle is scheduled to blast off, you can drive about an hour and half to see it in person and tour Cape Canaveral or just go out on our beach and watch the fire and smoke whiz across the sky from the shuttle. An amazing site! ! Like to gamble? The Palm Beach Princess leaves from the Port of Palm Beach daily offering music,great food and gambling plus a wonderful trip to sea for a very reasonable amount. (We have 777, a little slot machine place right here on the island. )If you just don't want to leave the island once you get here, and who can blame you, we have a Publix grocery store, a large CVS drugstore, bank, nail&hair salon,a couple of boutiques,a Subway, (sorry, no fast food on the island). There are many prize winning restaurants on the island, some with live music and entertainment and of course, we have a prize winning Pizza Parlor too! ! Hutchinson Island is called The Forgotten Island. If you haven't been here before, come and relax on or safe and quiet beaches. We, that live here, call it Paradise! ! |
